Ans: Extensions are a great way to change your look and amp up your style without causing any damage to your hair, when it is done right. It can be use to add color or highlights, lengths, body and create a shorter look. It's simply a great way change your look and still preserve your the natural state of your own hair.

How much hair will I need...
Ans: The amount of hair you need will depend on the look your are trying to achieve. However we do recommend that you purchase at least 8 ounces of hair to give you body and length.  The length will greatly depend on how far you want your hair to fall …shoulder length or down your back. Our bundle of hair is approximately 4 ounces, which is equivalent to a regular pack of hair from your local beauty supply store. For a partial head we recommend 4-6 oz and 8-12oz for a full head of weave.

The amount of hair also varies depending on the length; the longer the length of the hair the shorter the weft will be. Example if your buy 14" of hair you will have more on the weft in the bundle compare to if you buy 20'' of hair.

How long does it last...
Ans: because the hair you purchase from lux-hair extensions is 100% human hair, it will last for a very long time depending on how well you maintain it. However, since the hair is someone's natural hair it is subject to the normal wear and tear that all of us hair undergo from over processing (which can be chemical alteration to over heating eg. curling flat ironing. To get the most out of your hair we recommend using minimal chemical treatment and minimal heat usage. We also recommende deep conditioning the extensions before each use. The more you treat the extensions as your own and nourish it the longer it will last you.

What is the difference between "bulk" and "Wefted" hair...
Ans: Bulk is loose hair that is use for braiding especially micro braids. Bulk hair can also use for micro infusion or strand by strand micro beading process.  Wefted hair is use for applying hair extensions or weaving. It is usually sewn in on cornrows or glue in, it comes on a track for the weaving process.

Hand Tied vs. Machine Weft...
Ans: Hand tied weft are made strand by strand by tying hair around around the weaving thread. This process is done by hand and the wefts are thinner and lays flatter on the scalp but are very delicate and damage easily if not handle with care. Machine weft are done by machine and the weft is a little stonger and durable than the hand tied weft.
